I started out coaching at TFL because my oldest son's team needed a coach. Although I didn't set out to be the coach that first Spring practice, I'm sure glad I did. I tell my players that I want them to do four things when playing for me: to learn something new from every practice and game, give their best effort every practice and game, exercise good sportsmanship on and off the field and most importantly to have fun. I've enjoyed getting to know the kids and seeing them have fun while learning how hard they can push themselves to get better each season. I'm very thankful to the many parents who helped coach, were team moms, scheduled or hosted end of season parties, and filled in wherever needed. That and the occasional "hey coach Sly" around the corner is what has made coaching at TFL a lot of fun.
My oldest son John's teams:
Baseball: 9U Orioles, 10U Rangers, 11U Rangers, 12U Rangers
Football: 4th grade Panthers and 5th grade Panthers
My middle son Jake's teams:

I've also helped coach John's 8U Indians baseball team, two years of Jake's 7U and 8U Muckdogs, and two years of my youngest son Justin's 5U & 6U Bulldogs baseball and one year of 5U Redskins football
